Eldir recently had the honour of being shortlisted for the BCX Digital Innovation Awards in the SME Category.

“This year we had phenomenal entrants into the BCX Digital Innovation Awards, many of whom turned adversity into an opportunity for their businesses. I am encouraged by the level of innovation and imagination that exists in South African businesses, and was delighted to have announced the winners last night,” said Jonas Bogoshi, CEO of BCX.

The company’s digital, contactless COVID-19 solution Eldir: EGAN was nominated for the award. Eldir: EGAN helps companies to navigate the complex situation of health and safety during a pandemic, as well as tightly manage regulatory requirements, while streamlining access and monitoring protocols. Although there are other solutions that provide simple facial and temperature integrations, Eldir: EGAN is unique in that it incorporates the power of business process automation and digital management in the drive to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and other contagious diseases.

All submissions, interviews, and even the award ceremony were done remotely, which was an interesting experience according to Denis Bensch, CIO and co-founder of Eldir (Pty) Ltd.

“This kind of event illustrates how efficiently a technology-enabled organisation can continue doing business as usual, even during unusual times” said Bensch.

“We’d like to thank BCX for hosting a very well organised event, and we’d like to congratulate Bottles App (SME category) and Checkers Sixty60 (corporate category) on their respective wins!
